Huck is a friendly, if dense, musician with a serious love of pastries, and a lack of table manners. Huckleberry Pie once again returned for " Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City". Huck had much less prominence in Season 4, only appearing once in the second-to-last episode, "Doggie Dance No-Show", though he would continue to appear in the IDW comics that continued on from the show. After he and Blueberry Muffin make a promise, he begins to act like his true self soon after. With the desire to be loved by all, Huckleberry tends to claim to be into the same things they are, so that he'll be liked. Huckleberry Pie is the only boy on the show, though this doesn't mean the girls plan to treat him any differently. He plans to open a place called "Huckleberry's Home For Pets". Unlike the others, he doesn't permanently live in Berry Bitty City, but he does often drive by for a visit. He ended up befriending the other girls and let them adopt the dogs he was transporting at the time, though he ended up keeping one, Tom-Tom as his own. In the episode, he wound up in Berry Bitty City after his Pup-Mobile, a mobile dog shelter, broke down nearby. Huck was not originally a part of the main cast in the series, and it wouldn't be until Season 3, Episode 1, "A Boy and his Dogs", when he would finally make his debut. Besides skateboarding, the only other hobby he has shown interest in is magic tricks. Because his original pet, Pupcake, became Strawberry's in the 2003 series, he got a new pet, a frog named Shoofly. In the 1980's series, he was the original owner of Pupcake. He typically opts out of many activities the girls do unless they are sports-related. Huckleberry Pie is one of Strawberry Shortcake's friends, who lives in a childish fort in a brambly forest near Strawberry Shortcake's house. However, Plum ended up being changed into a girl around " Strawberry Shortcake and the Baby Without a Name", leaving Huckleberry as the only boy among Strawberry's friends. Interestingly, he was originally not meant to be the only male character in the specials, as Plum Puddin' was also a boy in "The World of Strawberry Shortcake". He's often seen napping or fishing and takes inspirations from Huckleberry Finn. He's often seen interacting with Blueberry Muffin and Raspberry Tart, along with his puppy Pupcake. Huckleberry is a lazy fisherman and one of Strawberry Shortcake's friends from Strawberryland, debuting in the very first special " The World of Strawberry Shortcake", and making several appearances in future specials.
